Congrats to Our Grads! 🎓

We are excited to announce that our first year’s partnership with North Central Missouri College was a huge success! The collaboration between Missouri Star Quilt Company and North Central Missouri College to form an apprenticeship program ended well with 20 students, all receiving college credit, backed by the Missouri Department of Labor! Our students were able to graduate from a year-long program with a certificate relating to business management essentials!

Certificates were handed out in the classroom space of Missouri Star’s warehouse by the president of North Central Missouri College, Dr. Larry Klaver (back; left), North Central Missouri College’s Program Coordinator, Jason Helton (back; right) and Missouri Star’s CEO, Mike Mifsud (back; middle)

Before handing out the certificates, NCMC Program Coordinator said, “This is a formal credential, it’s kind of a big deal. You ought to be proud of what you are about to receive.” Afterwards, the students cheered, the leadership team clapped proudly, and Missouri Star’s Apprenticeship Coordinator was brought to tears!

Between academic training by professors from North Central Missouri College AND on-the-job training here at Missouri Star Quilt Co, we are incredibly proud of our associates who have worked so hard to enhance their skills and become leaders! Way to go, graduates! 🎓
